About Zeus
What is Zeus?

Zeus is an online marketplace that matches your finance request against a portfolio of banks, financial institutions and credit providers, and shows you the loan offer information from lenders whose criteria you meet.

Is Zeus a lender?

No. Zeus doesn't lend money itself. We match you with third-party lenders, who assess and decide on any loan offer. If you proceed, your ongoing relationship for that product is managed directly with them, not with Zeus.

How is this different from applying directly to a bank?

Applying directly means one lender, one set of criteria, and a real mark on your credit file if you're wrong about your odds. Zeus checks you against many lenders' criteria at once with zero impact to your credit score, so you see where you actually stand before committing to a formal application anywhere.

Which lenders does Zeus work with?

We work with a portfolio of banks, financial institutions and credit providers. We don't compare every product or lender in the market, and which ones you're shown depends on your request — coverage can vary over time.

Eligibility & credit checks
Will checking my eligibility affect my credit score?

No. Zeus typically uses a soft credit check — a high-level enquiry into your credit standing that doesn't affect your credit rating, score, file or record, and isn't visible to other lenders.

What's the difference between a soft check and a hard check?

A soft check is used to assess likely eligibility without leaving a mark on your file. A hard check only happens if you go on to formally apply with a lender — that's between you and the lender, and is outside Zeus's control.

Am I guaranteed approval if Zeus shows me a match?

No. A match reflects your likely eligibility based on the information you've provided and each lender's published criteria — but final approval always depends on that lender's own full assessment when you actually apply.

What if I'm not matched with any lenders?

Not every request will match every lender's criteria. If that happens, you won't be shown offers from those lenders — you're welcome to try again if your situation changes.

Bank data & verification
Why does Zeus ask for my bank account information?

Some eligibility or affordability assessments need to verify your income and expenses. If you or a lender ask us to check this, we'll only access your bank data with your express consent at the time.

What's the difference between open banking and screen scraping?

Open banking uses Australia's Consumer Data Right framework to share your data securely and directly. Screen scraping is used where open banking isn't available, and involves logging into your online banking on your behalf using details you provide — which may be inconsistent with your bank's own terms.

Can Zeus move money from my account?

No. Access to your bank data, however it's collected, is read-only. Zeus can't transact on or move money from your accounts.

Can I decline to share my bank data?

Yes, you can decline or withdraw consent at any time — though this may mean we or our lenders are unable to complete an assessment for you.

Costs & how Zeus makes money
Does it cost anything to use Zeus?

No. Zeus never charges consumers a fee for using the service.

If it's free for me, how does Zeus make money?

We may receive a one-off referral or technology fee from a participating lender for facilitating the introduction — not from you.

Applying & next steps
Do I apply through Zeus, or directly with the lender?

Once you've seen your matches, you can choose to contact a lender directly to learn more. Any resulting loan application and arrangement happens directly with that lender, outside the Zeus platform.

Can I use Zeus more than once?

Yes — you can come back and check your eligibility again any time your situation or needs change.

What if I have a question about an application I've already started?

Once you're dealing directly with a lender, questions about that specific application are best directed to them, since they're the ones assessing and managing it.

Privacy & data
Does Zeus share my information with third parties?

We share what's needed with lenders and service providers to operate the platform — for example matching your request or running a soft check — in line with our privacy policy. We don't sell your personal information.

Where can I read the full privacy policy?

You can find the complete details, including what we collect, how we use it, and your rights to access or correct it, on our Privacy Policy page.

Still have a question? Check your eligibility and see for yourself.
